Paperless Office Solutions Wins Contract For State of Minnesota
Document Scanning and Imaging Services
|
August 1, 2008 - ABC's Paperless Office Solutions has won a contract with the State of Minnesota’s Materials Management Division to be one of seven organizations in the state that will provide digital imaging and scanning services to all of the state’s government agencies and offices. The one-year contract, which the state has the option to renew for an additional four years, begins immediately and has the potential to provide steady employment for over 40 people with disabilities at ABC alone.
ABC has spent the past two years training people with a wide range of disabilities to prepare, scan, and archive paper files. The “business within the business” was dubbed Paperless Office Solutions in the fall of 2007, and since then has been doing digital imaging work for businesses and individuals in the Rochester area. ABC already had a robust shipping/receiving and inventory management system, so it was natural for Paperless Office Solutions to expand to include those elements and become a full-service digital imaging bureau.
