Loan Catalog
The link above provides a listing of the devices we have in our loan library. We are working at adding and updating it and will complete it soon.
Loan Program Policies and Procedures
1. Items can be loaned for 30 days.
2. A loan agreement must be signed to borrow any device.
3. Items valued at over $300 require presenting, faxing, or email a scan of a valid government issued ID before the items are borrowed.
4. If an item is currently checked out a person can be added to the waiting list for that device if they wish to.
5. Can borrow up to 4 devices at a time.
6. The person that signs the loan agreement must provide a current address and phone number where you can be reached.
7. The person that signs the loan agreement must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Minnesota.
8. The person that signs the loan agreement is solely responsible for the safe return of the device and all of the devices accessories back to PACTT/ABC.
9. The person that signs the loan agreement is financially responsible for the device if it is lost, stolen or damaged.
10. Borrower must immediately contact PACTT if the devices are broken, lost or stolen.
11. The borrower must make arrangements with PACTT staff if they wish to return the device in person. Returning devices to PACTT in-person is by appointment only.
12. The borrower may choose to return the device(s), by First Class US Mail, UPS or FedEx, insured mail for the total value of the devices borrowed at the borrower's expense.
13. Items can be borrowed for a maximum of 60 days. The borrower also realizes that if another person requests the device during that second 30-day timeframe, the borrower may have to return the device early.
14. 48 hours before the item is due, borrower must call or email PACTT and indicate they want to extend the loan if wishing to borrow the device beyond the initial 30 days.
Additional Kindle, iPod, iPad and Slate Guidelines
1. Due to the popularity of these devices, they can only be checked out for 30 days. No extensions and no exceptions.
2. Borrower agrees not to add apps, software, e-books, or music to the devices.
3. Borrower agrees not to connect to iTunes. iTunes will make an attempt to sync with the device.
4. The borrower may request PACTT add specific software to the iPad, iPod, Slate or Kindle if the software is free, appropriate, and does not conflict with any previously installed software. PACTT staff will use their discretion on whether software will be downloaded and installed. The request to add software must be made well in advance of receiving the device for loan.
5. PACTT will not purchase any software the borrower requests. All devices have software previously installed to give borrower sufficient opportunities to test out the device.
6. PACTT will not purchase any e-books the borrower requests. All devices have a variety of e-books available to read already installed for testing and demonstration purposes.
7. Borrower must immediately contact PACTT if the devices are broken, lost or stolen.
8. Borrower is responsible for the safe return of the devices. Borrower agrees to cover the cost of repairs, or to replace a lost or stolen item.
