Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to individuals having experience working with persons having disabilities
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Good "people" skills
  • Computer skills necessary
  • Must possess valid driver's license and be willing to transport program participants
  • Evenings and weekends are possible

Salary Range
$10.00 per hour
*$0.25 per hour shift differential for working evenings (after 6PM) and weekends (any time)

Responsibilities
Under supervision of the Vocational Development Program Supervisor, the Vocational Evaluation Program Assistant will assist with the implementation and development of Vocational Evaluation program and other program transitions as appropriate. The individual will provide support with scheduling, coordination, facilitation and maintenance of Vocational Evaluation program components. Assist in job development and screening interviews of disabled individuals and their individual support teams in order to identify training needs in the areas of vocational planning. Provide written and verbal communication to referral sources on the progress and/or needs of program participants as related to specific program area. Provide support services in the area of job development, job coaching, program implementation, vocational testing, client advocacy and program coordination activities as assigned by Vocational Development Program Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong computer skills necessary
  • Must possess valid driver's license and be willing to transport program participants
  • Must have a good understanding of job development
